rolled my ankle within the first two minutes of running today. just when my ankle was all healed and running was becoming my norm, everything just went downhill. 

hoping for a fast and efficient recovery. 

My left knee is in really bad shape. Today was the worst condition it’s ever been in. My first problem was a broken ankle, and now my knee? I don’t even know what’s wrong with it. Hopefully I see my doctor soon because I cannot deal with this. 

Injuries really screw with your mood. Make sure to take care of your body, tumblr.  Not just through weight loss, but injury prevention. 

Tomorrow I start my 4th week of the running program my orthopaedic assigned me! 

1st week-walk 30 minutes

2nd week-walk 30 minutes

3rd week-10% run (3 minutes WOOO..not), 27 minutes walk

4th week-30% run (9 minutes, 21 minutes walk

…with each passing week, I increase my run time by 20%. I was glad to say the least that I got to run some of the time this past week. 

Here’s to hoping my ankle’s up for the challenges of this upcoming week! 

It’s been about 3 days since my ankle’s started hurting, and I’m scared. This shouldn’t be happening. I went two weeks without pain while running, and now it just won’t go away. 

I was so happy with my improvement. I looked forward to my runs everyday. 

And the worst part is that I can’t do anything to make the pain go away.

So I somehow hurt my shoulder? 

Maybe it was because of when I started lifting weights last week, but I’m kind of scared and kind of sad at the same time, because I just recovered from a serious injury, and I don’t want another burden like this.

I just got into the routine of working out and loving every minute of it. And along comes another injury. 



Right now I can’t workout.  Not just running…lifting, biking, swimming, anything.

So if you’re not injured right now, (or even if you are injured but can x train), take a moment to be thankful.

Exactly how I felt when I broke my ankle. Some people don’t have the luxury of not exercising by choice. 

So guess who finally went running this morning…

After months of letting my ankle heal, I felt it was time. Of course I’m totally not in shape to run continously for 30 minutes, so I started the Couch to 5k program. Overall, it went pretty well. 

At first I was like this

And towards the end, it was getting rougher..


But for the final stretch, I was so proud of myself, I found the energy to run the best I could..


One day closer to a 5k. 


but I just have to keep reminding myself that this recovery period is a test of patience. I gotta stay positive, rest up, and build strength in my ankle before I can run.

Another day of my ankle hurting. At this point, I’m kind of getting scared. I hope I didn’t screw up something when I jumped the other day. 

This is suppose to be my recovery, but it seems like I just screwed it up. 

Stay strong, ankle. 

Aw man, the ankle’s really sore today. 

I went out last night, and it seemed not too bad. I was on my feet a lot yesterday, and I didn’t think it would affect my ankle this much. I woke up this morning, and it was really stiff. Did some stretches, so hopefully it’ll loosen up in the next couple of days. 

Come on, ankle. hang in there. 

Yesterday I exercised for the first time since getting injured. It felt exhilarating. Granted, it was only the bike, but better than nothing, right?

My ankle felt fine after working out, but then later on during the night, I accidentally jumped and landed on my ankle, and now it’s pretty sore. I’m kind of scared that I harmed the healing process, but only time will tell.
